Air Quality
On Wednesday, September 9th, 2020, San Francisco turned orange. Ash from wildfires encircling the Bay Area accumulated high in the atmosphere, stunning SF and surrounding areas with eerie filtered light, blocking much of the sun for the whole day and creating a “midnight at noon” effect. The air quality was good enough for walking around at this point, though the next few days would prove extremely hazardous.
